PreSonus Studio One 3 Artist is equipped with so much more than its predecessor; in fact, it's the most significant update PreSonus has ever released. Studio One 3 is first and foremost a fully rebuilt DAW with a 64-bit engine (32-bit systems are also supported), which makes this sequencer faster than ever. Even though the program was already very accessible, this new version features an enhanced user-friendly interface. Don't let it fool you into thinking its features are simplified, though! This remarkably comprehensive, powerful multi-track software for PC and Mac is a favourite amongst songwriters and producers around the world.
Studio One 3 Artist: fast, intuitive, complete
The Song Page is an important feature in Studio One 3, as it allows you fast access to all kinds of important functions including mixer, track view, browser and effects. This PreSonus program works great with multiple displays (six monitors are no problem whatsoever) and even supports multi-touch screens. The handy drag-and-drop functionality allows you to add an unlimited number of tracks, effects and instruments with ease. Recording a MIDI track with a MIDI keyboard, for instance, or an audio track with a microphone or other analogue source is child's play. You even get a set of virtual instruments as well as all the effects you could need to make a professional-sounding mix.
Countless functions
By popular request, the Automation Curves are now also available in Studio One 3. With it, you can draw a volume progression over a track or have an effect blend from one value to another. An important benefit of this is that you won't need to alter any of the audio files themselves, which means you can change your own custom settings at any given moment. This practical DAW possesses countless functions including Pre-record mode, Step Record, integration with PreSonus Notion, assignable hot keys (with presets for Pro Tools, Cubase and Logic), pitch shifting and time stretching. It's a smart investment for any musician who wants to make multi-track recordings intuitively.
